Pepsi Refresh Everything Campaign

Refreshing how you look at the world of autism, and your country.

The Pepsico Company decided in 2010 to forgo their normal Super Bowl advertising and instead give the money away to individuals and charities around the nation in their Refresh Everything Campaign. Broken down into categories of $5,000, $25,000, $50,000, and $250,000, the top 2 vote getters in the $250,000 range and the top 10 vote getters in the other 3 ranges, qualify as finalists for their prize. After a thorough vetting by a grant monitoring organization, finalists are then announced. After 59 days of voting (we lost the first month of February, but as a top 100 vote getter were automatically entered into the following month), and after lots of ups and downs in the standings, we finally came through at the end of March, the first autism organization out of 15 to win. On April 23rd, we were officially announced as winners of a $50,000 grant to create a film for families affected by autism.

These organizations played a huge part in helping us win through Facebook, Twitter, email lists, canvassing, and a host of other strong efforts: Autism Spectrum Connections, Autism Speaks, Autism Treatment Center of America, AutismLink, HollyRod Foundation, National Inclusion Project, Liberty Community Center, AutismOne, Calvin and N.A.K.E.D. Dude, Fox and CBS news, and thousands of individuals across the world. Thank you all for your great efforts!
